GlobalFest is coming to Kingsland!
Mark your calendars!
Sneak a peek at one of GlobalFest’s newest community building programs; GlobalFest Groves. Enjoy food trucks, live performances, and GlobalFest’s famous ‘Passport Pursuit’ at the NEW park behind the Kingsland Junction development from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on June 26.
What can I expect at GlobalFest Groves?
Celebrating diversity is at the heart of this event, and GlobalFest has lined up an awesome list of vendors to make it happen! Four cultural pavilions featuring Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Brazil will be onsite and ready for you to explore as part of the mini Passport Pursuit program. What is mini Passport Pursuit? Bring your smart phones and be ready for an awesome adventure that leads you through the event space and cultural pavilions in pursuit of some great prizes! The grand prize is a VIP package for 4 to GlobalFest’s OneWorld Festival!
Live performances at the outdoor stage will feature performers celebrating the Republic of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Philippines, and Brazil. Then, between performances grab a bite to eat from the food trucks that will be onsite! Don’t forget to visit the sponsor tents throughout the park for a chance to win some extra prizes and swag! Insider Tip: One of us will have a prize wheel!
Where can I park?
Parking onsite is extremely limited, so we encourage all those who are able to walk to the event and/or to utilize public transit (approx. 10 minute walk from Heritage Station). Free parking is available on the day of the event at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (approx. 10 minute walk to the park).
What if it rains?
Not to worry, the event will go on! In the event of rain, event activities will take place at both the Trico Homes Office and the Kingsland Community Association. Keep an eye on this page and social media for updates!
