Participatory Public Art Adventure

Over a few weeks of the summer of 2020, Kingsland's Catwalk Revitalization Crew came up with a great COVID-friendly art project which involved making art separately in our individual homes and yards, coordinating and sharing projects, and facilitating that bringing of all of the resulting art pieces together and displaying them throughout the neighbourhood.

Project One: Rainbow Assembly

Using household objects, residents were asked to create a 12”x12” collage of single colour items which would come together to create a rainbow.

Project 2: Rocking Kingsland

Residents were asked to find and paint rocks and drop those rocks off at the Kingsland Community Hall’s front flowerbed. Creativity and fun ensued!
